Included are picture cards for each letter of the alphabet, it ends up equaling over 400 words! We have also included cards for four digraphs as well. Each card has a colorful illustration and written word to match. These cards can be used to help your students to work on so many skills. We use them during our letter of the week activities and they help to develop drawing, writing, vocabulary, understanding of beginning sounds, decoding, etc. We have included a variety of words and pictures in this huge pack! Among them are sports, numbers, household items, colors, vehicles, and  much more.
A few examples are pictured below:

We like to use these cards in our classrooms to complete an alphabet book to go along with the letter we are learning about for the week. You can find these Awesome Alphabet Books in our store here. The children love completing them every week!

Here you can see the children using these cards to complete their letter books. We then encourage the children to keep these books in a safe place at home to be used as a picture dictionary.

It is super easy to use them with "letter of the week" programs and in classroom centers when storing them alphabetically. We have found multiple containers that fit the cards easily, plus the Oxford alphabet dividers come in handy too!

Have a great week!! Thanks for stopping by!

You will love these jungle themed alphabet work mats! The cards are colorful and inviting to children. They won't be able to resist the fun! Children can use play-dough, Wikki Stix, dry erase markers, etc. to practice letter identification as well as letter formation. We keep these in our fine motor center and the children love to use them all year long!

There are 26 letter mats included in this pack. Each mat has an upper case and lower case letter on it. Also included, are two pictures to help children associate the beginning sound of a word with its letter name.

These play-dough mats are great for children to work on their fine motor skills too!

Some of the children will roll the play-dough into long "worms" and shape them into the letter. Some will squish the play-dough down over the letter and some will just put their own personal flair on it. We like when they are creative with their learning.

Using Wikki Stix is so much fun!

Thanks for checking out our alphabet mats and for hanging out with us today. Have a great week!

This pack includes several reading and math activities to use with everyone's favorite book, Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom! by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault.

Make the Letters Climb the Tree
We printed the poster sized trees for this activity. Children laid the letters of the alphabet in random order around the outside of the tree and worked in small cooperative groups. We called a letter one at a time and the children had to find the letter and walk it up the coconut tree! To challenge some of our children, we asked for them to find the letter that starts with the first sound heard in a certain word. We had so much fun with this activity! You can tell by the smiles on their faces!

Upper Case to Lower Case Letter Clippies
Our students love clippies! These colorful clippies will be good practice for your students in letter identification and matching upper case to lower case letters. Children will identify the upper case letter at the top of the tree and find its match on one of the fallen coconuts. When they find the correct letter, they will clip the correct coconut! So fun and motivating!

Writing Response Journal
After reading, we ask the children to draw a picture of their favorite part of the story. Since it is early in the school year we encourage the children to write by copying the book title.

Chicka Tree Craftivity with Student Name
In this activity, we first have the children color the coconut tree. After coloring, they will then cut the tree. This is one of our first cutting experiences at the beginning of kindergarten, so some of the trees get cut into small pieces. No worries, though, they just glue it back together when putting on the blue construction paper.

After they have glued their tree, children will need to find the letters in their name from a pile of random letters. We have included boxes in this product in which you can edit to add your student's names.
After finding all the letters in their name, they glue them going up the coconut tree. This is such a great activity that combines so many skills in one: coloring, cutting, gluing, letter recognition, name recognition, and print concepts! Here is a completed one:

Numeral to Set Matching
In this activity, children will count the coconuts on the tree and find the numeral to match. We have included numbers 0-10. This activity can be done individually, with a partner, or with the whole class as a partner match game.

Counting Coconuts Assessment

We like to use this assessment to check the children's ability to match a numeral to a set. We have them color the tree and then we give them a certain number of coconuts. We use a one inch circle punch and brown construction paper to make "coconuts." The children then glue the coconuts on the tree, count how many, and then write the numeral to match to complete the sentence.

We are so excited to feature this fun product, Monster Mania! We love the book Monsters Love School by Mike Austin and our children really enjoy it too!

In this pack we included two literacy and two math activities.

First is a set of alphabet cards. We have included both upper case and lower case.

You can do so many things with these cards, the possibilities are endless. You can play memory, a partner match, scavenger hunt for objects that begin with the first sound, etc.

Next, we have included sentences for children to practice their reading, tracking print, etc. Children will read the sentence starter and then chose one of the words that have been provided to complete the sentence. They will then re-read the sentence to make sure it makes sense.

This pack also includes Monster Ten Frames. The children can work with a partner to fill in their ten frame. One child can fill in the ten frame and the other child can find the numeral that matches the set of counters. You could use these for addition, subtraction, etc. Again, the possibilities are endless.

Lastly, we have included a monster themed I have, Who has game with ten frames.

As an added bonus, we have also included four different journal prompts for use with the book, Monsters Love School. The four journal prompts that are included are: "My favorite part of the story", "My favorite thing about school", "What I want to learn", and "What am I worried about". We have included five different versions of each of these journals to meet the needs of your diverse learners.
Thank you for joining us again this week! We hope you are all enjoying your summer!
